The Principal's Perspective
Academic Probation and Extracurricular Eligibility
Beginning Sept. 22, grade reports will be run every Monday. Per the school handbook on academic probation and extracurricular eligibility:
"It is imperative that our students apply themselves fully to their studies. We recognize that student achievement must be fostered and encouraged.
Therefore, a student who is scholastically capable but is failing in any subject (grade of D or F) will be placed on academic probation. The student is then required to attend weekly Homework Club after school to complete missing assignments. In-school activities may be forfeited, at the discretion of the principal.
If a student is earning a grade of D or F in any classes, and is on academic probation, he/she will not be eligible to participate in extracurricular activities (i.e. athletics, band, choir, clubs) until academic expectations are met."
Updates on Safety Protocols
We have reviewed all our procedures for student safety over the past few weeks and made some changes to benefit our students. This includes moving the student mass to 10:00 am on Wednesdays for most masses. This allows us to gather together without unfamiliar attendees. Additionally, we have security watching both inside and outside the building during this time.
We are also closely examining recess and outside PE times and developing protocols for emergencies during those periods.
Lastly, we are in discussions with Jackson Middle School to see if we can mutually use each other's gyms as a destination in case we need to evacuate our schools.
Student safety remains our top priority, and we will continue to work toward continuous improvement of the safe and orderly environment for our students.

We love our school uniforms—but every now and then, it’s fun to switch things up! Give your child the chance to enjoy an Out-of-Uniform Day (or five!) while also supporting our school.
How It Works:
- Out-of-Uniform Days will take place once a month from September through January.
- Passes are just $5 each

Fall Sports Update
Cross Country
The Results are in from the second SPL meet at Westmont High School and the Willowbrook Warrior Middle School Invitation Meet. Congrats to all our Knights on how hard they worked and to each and every student-athlete that achieved their or PR!
The Knights next meet is Saturday, Sept. 20 at Marmion High School. Let's go Knights!!

Knights Volleyball Season Update
Our Knights teams continue to battle hard across the TCCA volleyball season. Boys 5A and 7A are leading the way with strong 4–1 and 4–2 records, both holding impressive 80% and 67% win percentages. Boys 7B is right behind with a 4–1 start, showcasing consistency and grit on the court. Girls 8A picked up two wins this week, while Boys 6A and 8A each added to the victory column as well.
Overall, St. Pius X teams have combined for 20 wins and nearly 2,300 points scored—proving that Knight pride shows in every serve, set, and spike!

St. Pius X is proud to host our 11th annual Volley for the Cure on Saturday, October 11, from Noon–8:00 PM in the SPX gym—a day where our community comes together to honor those who have lost their battle with breast cancer, support survivors, and stand alongside those still fighting. Once again, we are partnering with the National Breast Cancer Foundation to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.
Throughout the day, all nine of our Knights volleyball teams will take the court, each playing a match in special uniforms designed to show our support. Between games, fans can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win gift baskets generously donated by sponsors and created by our teams.

St. Pius X Athletics is excited to announce our return to Feed My Starving Children for an evening of service, community, and giving back!
